Where the Delaware Bay meets the Atlantic Ocean you will find Fisherman’s Wharf Marina (www.fishlewes.com) located by the drawbridge in Lewes Delaware. The marina offers deep sea charter boats, cruising and sightseeing vessels, and The Wharf restaurant. This is a splendid spot to sit and relax and watch the boats bring in their daily catches.

On the Maryland Eastern Shore, Kent Narrows, Chesapeake Bay you will find Mears Point Marina (mearspoint.com) and its numerous amenities. There is a fenced kiddie pool and playground and the “Captains Cabana” in the pool area with a bar and refreshment stand offering ice cream, light fare menu and drinks. In addition, Mears Point has an Olympic size outdoor pool.

 

The Tides Inn Chesapeake Bay Marina (www.tidesinn.com), located on Carter’s Creek, is a destination, luxury resort. The marina offers an 18-hole golf course, spa, and several restaurants on site.

The Gangplank on the Potomac (www.gangplank.com) is a great marina to visit while you tour the sites of Washington, D.C. It is within walking distance to the Jefferson Memorial, Haines Point, and the Capital Building. For golf enthusiasts, there is an 18-hole golf course nearby. Located in the beautiful Lyndon B. Johnson Memorial Grove on the Pentagon lagoon is the Columbia Island Marina (www.columbiaisland.com), which offers fuel and has a café on site.
